Nothing reached Violet, who sat at the edge of a raised edge of the roof top. Her apartment was at the top level of the building so it was easy enough to climb from her living room balcony to the roof deck above. It was a beautiful night where the moon sat high in the sky, tinged a dusty orange. Even with the thundering cacophony of cars and pedestrians below or the blinding lights of buildings, the moon still held Violet's attention in a mesmerizing way. It seemed as though the light and noise wouldn't dare rise above the top level of the towering skyscrapers around her.
It was a pleasant change from the everyday routine that never changed. It was always school, study, work, bed; then those beautifully rare moments when she could find sanctuary in Richard's embrace. He was the one who showed her that her life belonged to her and she could be what she wanted. not what her parents thought she should be.
"Your not good, don't try and pretend otherwise Violet. Even your name is an example of what you are."
Violet didn't let the voice disturb her, she let out a sigh. "No, your wrong. I'm not like that, a little teenage trouble doesn't define me. I've changed'" She said this calmly.
"Your wrong, you haven't changed. Not on the inside." The voice spoke smoothly but gave her shivers and raised bumps on her skin all the same.
"I've changed." It was all Violet could say but it didn't sound as convincing the second time, none the less she would keep saying it until she was sure it was true.
"Violet you are tainted, you can never be pure." It was a whisper but the words themselves seem to scream at her.
"No!" Violet jerked her head to the shadows where she thought the voice was.
"Who are you talking to?" A figure emerged from the shadows. Tall, lean, and built, dressed in black with a blue robin spanning his chest.
"Richard. I-I, no one. I wasn't talking to anyone." Violet exhaled and tried to calm her racing heart. "I'm by myself."
"You shouldn't call me that when I'm dressed like this; you know better." He chastised her like always. "Was it the voices again?" His face though covered by a mask held clear concern for her.
"Just one voice. It doesn't happen as much as it used to either, just sometimes." She felt ill at ease talking about what went on in her head, she knew that the voices weren't real they were a left over fragment from the fear gas her father used on her so many times as a young girl. She was immune to the gas itself but not every test went easily. It wasn't even the gas that had the biggest effect on her psyche but her father's words and methods that broke down the walls of her childhood mind, putting them back together like humpty dumpty glued and missing parts.
"I'm here you know? You don't have to do this all by yourself anymore. That's ones of the perks of having a boyfriend." Robin perched down next to her on the edge of the building and she layed her head on his shoulder.
"I don't think your supposed to call me your girlfriend when dressed like that Robin." She poked his side playfully, making a point that even he slips up sometimes when they are alone.
"We're alone so it's not a big deal, but we should stay in habbit. You know i'm not Robin anymore, there's a NEW Robin; Jason."
"I know, but to me you'll always be my robin, Nightwing." She met him when he was Robin and that is how she would always know him. The boy you tried to save her life in a battle and then did save her from herself.
"Tonight's a slow night and I wish we can stay like this all night but you know I will have to leave soon." He put his arm around her shoulders giving her the comfort she wanted. "For now we have this moment." They stayed like that in silence until he had to leave then Violet layed down in the space the his body had occupied, staring out into the night.
Dawn was approaching and with it the voices faded leaving a hollow feeling of peace. It was a bit like leaving a crowded room to be by one's self. Violet watched the sun turn the clouds from a smokey grey to a purple, pink mosaic; blending together like water paints and slowly bleeding away any left over darkness and bringing a fresh start to the day. It was Monday; Violet should have been in bed a long time ago but it couldn't be helped and she would soon have to get down from the ledge to get ready for school. Only a few more moments; the last perfect moments of the day when nothing had yet to happen to tarnish it.
She gave one nod toward the sun then stood up and jumped down onto her balcony below.

Robin Obsession Part 3 Auntie Harley
"Hi Auntie Harley, I didn't know that you were going to be in the area today." Violet tried to sound casual but it was hard to keep her voice steady. She straightened herself up and stood shoulder to the part in case anything started. Harley may have been her supposed aunt but there was bad blood between them now and Harley would take any opportunity to show her anger if she felt in the mood for it.
"Ya know flower you've been' a very bad gurl lately. " Today was one of the days she felt the need to show her anger after all. "I knw what ya did to meh sweet boy, " The aura she gave off was frightening but as Harley came closer Violet didn't move, she knew not to show emotion and if she was being honest with herself there wasn't much fear that she could feel. Harley held a over sized hammer with a circus pattern covering it's surface at her side; she bumped it against her calf in a slow rhythm unconsciously.
"There was no other way, Jack was in my way. You know I didn't want to have to take him in but I had no choice. He can have a better future now." Violet said this knowing that her words would go unheard, it wouldn't matter why she had to stop Jack all that mattered was she had betrayed him.
"Jack was me and meh Pudd'n's only truth and you took hem away from us!" She lifted the hammer and rushed toward Violet, her face contorted with anger. Violet ducked and the blow landed just above her head, the hammer struck deep into the wall. That would have been her head, the crumbling rock would have been her brain ooze and blood.
Harley wasn't her aunt right now, she was a vengeful mother that needed to feel better about not being able to protect her offspring. Violet looked around while Harley tried to pull the hammer from the wall, Richard was far off in the mix of the bigger trouble along with Batman. He wouldn't get to her in time even if he was able to see her small frame stick out of the smoke surrounding them. Violet would have to defend herself the best that she could; she stood up and kicked Harley in her stomach with all the force she had. Harley staggered back a few steps and before she could regain her balance Violet gave her a right hook to the face.
Violet was surprised at her forcefulness but before she could feel glad she had paid attention to the lectures about self defense that Richard gave her Harley grabbed the arm she had punched her with and pulled Violet forward. She kneed Violet in the stomach and while she was on the ground heaving made it a point to kick her while she was down square in the mouth sending her from a bent over position to laying on her side. Violet let out a muffled scream and spit up blood, her lip was split from the impact and she wasn't sure if that was the only damage. Her side was in pain and she hoped it was nothing more than a bruise but it felt more like a fractured rib. The cement was cold and it helped clear her thoughts from the fuzzy feeling invading. She needed to get up now before things got out of hand, Violet willed herself up; moving to slow.
"You don't think your going anywhere do ya flower?" Harley's voice echoed with satisfaction. Seeing Violet bleeding and in pain made her happier than she had been since Jack was taken to Arkhem Asylum. She pulled a dagger from her belt loop and positioned it under Violet's throat, taking a hand full of hair to pull back her head. "Your not going anywhere." Harley giggled and applied pressure to the blade, it slowly split an inch length across Violet's neck with ease. Blood ran down her neck in a crimson river.
Violet was loosing consciousness, she felt that this was the last of it. Her breath pitched and became rapid, she didn't want life to end yet. Her vision blurred and she heard voices off in the distance, they seemed to be addressing her or.....Harley?
"What did I tell you?! I said to teach her a lesson not kill her!" A women's voice, familiar. "Let her loose. Now." Her tone was low and harsh.
"You said I could have at her and that's what I did. She deserves it after taking my Jack. You said it yourself, she needs to learn that blood makes you who you are." The grip on Violet's hair tightened as Harley spoke but Harley didn't move the blade any deeper into her throat.

robin obsessed part 2 Never Safe
It wasn't long until they were slowing down and Violet could see the museum in the near distance. It was a big building with pillars and to many steps up to the entrance. It normally glowed in the late afternoon sun but not today. There was a scene of chaos as soon as they got within a three block radius of the building the air was filled with the screams of innocent by standards. Richard slowed the bike, turning into an ally and after pressing a button that put it into battle mode, got off. Violet followed his lead dismounting along side him. The alley was dank, dark and smelled of garbage. Though it was clear of anyone else, and the skirmish taking place on the main street, it didn't seem much safer.
In the few moments if took for Violet to look over the area Richard changed. He was dressed in all black with dark grey highlighted areas and a blue bird across his chest, the wings on the bird were spread from one shoulder to the next. His outfit was clearly made for combat, reenforced at key points and his eyes were covered by a mask. He really did have that outfit with him at all times. It was a new one though, when she met him he didn't look like this. He was shorter back then and sported red instead of blue. It had only been three years since their first meeting and a lot had changed in that time. He no longer was a young boy, he had grown up a bit, gotten taller and taken on a new name. He wasn't Robin the Boy Wonder anymore, no he was Nightwing.
"Stay here, you'll be safe," he was close enough to feel the breath on her cheek when he said so. She wanted to lean in and kiss him but understood it was a risk at the moment. She stepped back looking down as she did so, "and try to stay out of trouble." he continued with a teasing smile on his lips.
"I'll try my best." She lifted her head to roll her eyes at him, crossing her arms and leaning her weight back on one foot in a gesture of teasing annoyance. "But you know it's never easy for me to stay out of the spotlight." she said this as she made a big gesture upward as though to the lights of a stage. After a quick laugh at her Nightwing got onto his bike as gave her one more fleeting look before zooming into action.
Violet walked over to the opening of the alley to get a better picture of what was happening. She couldn't see much through the veil of smoke and dust cloud coming off the museum and near by buildings. Batman was already in the middle of the fray, zip lining from one building to the next and diving back into the mix. Violet was still trying to see who they were up against. She walked out of the alley to catch sight of the assailants, and put her ill mind to ease. What she did see made her heart skip a beat. Violet saw the distinct tell tales signs of her mother and company.
The tops and walls of buildings were infested with thorn covered vines and beautifully toxic flowers of every sort. It was to her knowledge the prettier something was the more dangerous, and each bloom was angelic in appearance.
Each step she took closer to the scene became harder, the shaking had only worsened at the sight of the vines and flowers. Soon one by one her steps slowed getting less unsteady until she had to hold herself up by leaning her back against a wall. The contours of the rock against her body felt rough and she used the gagged rock to calm her nerves, she pressed her shaking hands against the rock and concentrated on bringing her breathing to normal, but before she could relish her triumph a giggle came from Violet's left.
"Heya, flower what'cha doing around he're?" It was the mistress of laughs, 'Auntie' Harley. There was one of two possibilities; she was here with Violets mother or her one and only "Pudd'n." It didn't look good with either scenarios.

Start of my Robin Obession in writing
Violet let out a sigh as she scanned the parking lot for Richard. He was late. Again. He said he would pick her up after she was finished studying for an upcoming AP Cal exam. It was hard not getting to see him often but she tried to be understanding when he was late, didn't show, or couldn't stay. He never forgot anything just didn't have the freedom to always follow through and he wasn't blowing her off for a stupid reason. No, he was doing it because it was his job and that was a part of him she really liked. It was hard to get used to at first but working through the hard times was what made a real relationship.
After waiting for ten minutes she pulled out her phone to call and leave a message on his voice mail. It was what she would usually do when he didn't show up. She unlocked her iPhone and pressed down on number 1, he was on her speed dial. He was her number one. The phone continued to ring and went to voice mail like she knew it would. "Hey Dick, I know your out doing something important. I'm going to head home, call me when you hear this." She was about to say 'so i know your okay,' when she heard the familiar sound of a motorcycle and turned to see a bike turning into the parking lot.
"Scratch that, you made it." A smile spread across her face. She ended her call, and put her phone back into the pocket of her uniform jacket as the bike slowed to a stop and the boy on the bike took off his blue and black helmet. He was lean, and toned in a irresistible way, with bright sapphire eyes that she never wanted to stop looking into. Violet shifted a bit adjusting her book bag on her shoulder followed by moving her bright red bangs out of her eyes.
He sat on the bike, holding it up with his body weight and looked at her apologetically. "You know I didn't--" Before he could say anymore she put her hand up to stop him.
She shook her head slightly, "No worries, I understand." After moving her bag so it hung across her body from her left shoulder to her right hip she walked over the him, unhooking her helmet from her book bag. It was all black with a tinted front like his. Violet straddled the bike behind him. She made sure to be sitting on her skirt and tucking it around her the best she could so that the wind wouldn't blow it upward exposing her, she adjusted the helmet onto her head so it fit snugly. Dick had gotten the helmet for her after the first time she had ridden with him on his bike, she had loved it so much to his surprise that she thought about learning to ride and getting one of her own. He had laughed when she told him, saying it was harder than it looked and he would just give her rides instead. That was how they got to where they were now; him saying he would pick her up from places and only being able to follow through half the time.
"Ready?" He asked looking back at her over his shoulder, snapping her out of her flashback. After wrapping her arms around his waist Violet leaned close to his body, her head to his back and nodded. He couldn't see her but he felt her nodding against him.
He placed his helmet back onto his head and before she could prepare herself in anyway they were already racing forward taking the air out of her. The wind was a force of it's own pushing against her body like a tangible being, and the scenery around them went by like flashes. Nothing stood out or was visible for more than an instant. It was amazing, like she was flying. She closed her eyes relishing in the feeling, and embracing the butterflies in her stomach. It felt a bit like when your on a roller coaster and taking the first big fall down into what seems to be a never ending drop, and before you know it, it's over.
That was the moment the drop ended and she heard a beeping in front of her. It was coming from Dick's helmet, where she knew a tiny ear piece was always sitting. He tightened slightly before she heard his voice, "Yeah, what's up?" His voice was clear but the voice on the other end was a muffled sound and after a moment she felt Dick let out a sigh. "I'm not alone," another pause. "Okay, I'll meet the team there."
The bike slowed for a moment, then after taking a sudden left accelerated even faster then they were going before. All the flashes of their surroundings turned into a endless blur of color.
"Where are we going Richard?" She had a hunch but asked anyway. Her helmet also had a built in headset that was constantly connected to his when together, except when he got incoming calls from his phone.
"The Gotham museum is being attacked. That's where we are headed, I'm sorry but I don't have time to drop you off anywhere."
"Who is it?" She held her breath.
"You'll be okay, you just need to stay by the bike." Violet could feel some of the panic started to creep into her skin. Soon she wouldn't be able to control it. She tried to breath slowing in and out hoping to gain control but it wasn't helping.

History: Raised interchangeably between her mother and father's house she was continuously taught to do evil but never really picked up the taste for it. Both parents taught her something involving their specialties. When with her father Jonathan Crane she was educated on psychology and fears but was also exposed to her father's fear formula in small amounts in attempt to rid her of fear, immunity to the effects didn't change the fact that living with her father unhinged her mind at a young age later leading to hallucinations. Her mother frowned on anything taught to her by her father and thus tried to keep her away from her father as much as possible. Her mother educated her in biology. Being around plant life was normal and a lot of the time she couldn't see the line between in and outside. As a young child Violets abilities first showed them self but as she grew up her abilities were somehow forgotten and lost to her.
When Violet turned eleven she turned to self harm to coupe with her hallucinations and family ties. This went on for sometime before she was helped by Richard Grayson already known as Nightwing at the time, who found her during what was thought to be an attack at the Gotham Botanical Gardens (Violet was only 13 at the time).
Being bullied
in school took it's toll on Violet until her dormant abilities manifested with no control.
She lost control late in the night when the voices in her head wouldn't stop but was lucky no one was around. Finding her again in the park, Richard took her back to the Wayne mansion hoping
to help her control her new found abilities.
She easily got a scholarship to Gotham Academy for her high school years and stayed with in Wayne Manor for awhile during this time being
trained beside Bruce's son Damian who happened to be only a year older than
her, he by this time had already been living with his father for some time but
still had trouble following his father's lead. Damian and Violet didn't get along during
their first year but slowly became close as time passed. The two bonded over
science and combat, Damian being the biggest part of Violet being able to move
forward with her life and the parts of it that haunted her day by day.
Violet
at the age of 15 got a job to make some money even after being told by Bruce
that it was unnecessary along with her parents constantly trying to give her their
stolen goods. She tries not to use the money obtained from her parents and
instead leaves it in a separate bank account. She now attends school regularly,
is for the most part stable, stopped her self harm and is set on trying to have
a normal life though she has many ties to both the Heroes and Villains of not
only Gotham but around the world.
The only semi-villian she stays in contact with regularly being her "cousin" Jack. Jack being her Aunt Harley and Joker's son, was born the same year as her and the two grew up together but Jack followed a bit closer to his parents than Violet did hers leading them to grow apart for a few years. She still sees him like a brother but a trouble making brother who needs to see his flaws. to be continued?......

Class was about to start and I was getting some hope that Pace had finally left and wouldn't be coming back. My life could go back to what normalcy it had been before his arrival; it wasn't much but it was enough for me to be yearning for it. At that moment he walked in and my hopes were shattered even more than I thought possible because he didn't walk in alone.
I didn't think it could get any worse. Pace had said he wouldn't leave me alone and until I left with him he would take greater measures to insure my safety from who knows what, but I was hoping that he wasn't serious; knowing deep down he was and this was just the beginning. What i didn't expect was THIS, he had definitely taken measures and I it was leaving me feeling suffocated. On each side of him was a person I'd never seen in my four years at Poe Academy. A girl and a boy. They looked like him, young, tall, a look in there eyes that told they've been through more years then it would seem.
"Interested in my friends?" He said with a smirk on his face as he took a seat next to me. "We go way back, but make no mistake they're no where near as fun as me." I scoffed at his comment but ignored him otherwise, taking me seat in the back of the classroom next to the window.
The sky outside was bright and sunny, in complete contrast to my mood.

Lucipher's body tightened as the needle pierced his skin and he gritted his teeth in discomfort.
"What did you expect, the needle is pure steel." Yuki interjected as she pushed the needle into his vein and continued to draw his blood, placing vial after vial on the counter next to him.
"I'm fine, just hurry up." Lucipher concentrated on the ceiling above him, there the pattern of vines inbedded into the stark white, tugged at his attention. He followed the vines with his eyes in an attempt to get his mind off the burning pain in his inner arm. Before he knew it the vines had memorized him and he couldn't seem to look away. The vines flowed though one another not seeming to have a beginning or an end, just an infinite dance. The fluidness took all thought from his head before he knew what was going on someone was shaking him.
"Lucipher! Lucipher!? Wake up dammit!" Yuki slapped him a bit harder than she needed to. "Wake up before I decide you need to be more than slapped." She hit him once more to emphasize her point.
When Lucipher gained lucidity his head snapped up and he saw Yuki leaning over him, her hair was strewn about with pieces falling into his face tickling his cheeks. "Y-yuki? What happened?" his head lulled to the side, the room was spinning and he felt like he was going to be sick. A metallic taste lingered in his mouth...was it blood maybe? He didn't remember bleeding in his mouth, and Yuki didn't hit him that hard.
"You passed out, i'm not sure if it was from the pain, or blood lose. I didn't think i taken very much, just about six vials."
