Start of my Robin Obession in writing

Violet let out a sigh as she scanned the parking lot for Richard. He was late. Again. He said he would pick her up after she was finished studying for an upcoming AP Cal exam. It was hard not getting to see him often but she tried to be understanding when he was late, didn't show, or couldn't stay. He never forgot anything just didn't have the freedom to always follow through and he wasn't blowing her off for a stupid reason. No, he was doing it because it was his job and that was a part of him she really liked. It was hard to get used to at first but working through the hard times was what made a real relationship.

After waiting for ten minutes she pulled out her phone to call and leave a message on his voice mail. It was what she would usually do when he didn't show up. She unlocked her iPhone and pressed down on number 1, he was on her speed dial. He was her number one. The phone continued to ring and went to voice mail like she knew it would. "Hey Dick, I know your out doing something important. I'm going to head home, call me when you hear this." She was about to say 'so i know your okay,' when she heard the familiar sound of a motorcycle and turned to see a bike turning into the parking lot.

"Scratch that, you made it." A smile spread across her face. She ended her call, and put her phone back into the pocket of her uniform jacket as the bike slowed to a stop and the boy on the bike took off his blue and black helmet. He was lean, and toned in a irresistible way, with bright sapphire eyes that she never wanted to stop looking into. Violet shifted a bit adjusting her book bag on her shoulder followed by moving her bright red bangs out of her eyes.

He sat on the bike, holding it up with his body weight and looked at her apologetically. "You know I didn't--" Before he could say anymore she put her hand up to stop him.

She shook her head slightly, "No worries, I understand." After moving her bag so it hung across her body from her left shoulder to her right hip she walked over the him, unhooking her helmet from her book bag. It was all black with a tinted front like his. Violet straddled the bike behind him. She made sure to be sitting on her skirt and tucking it around her the best she could so that the wind wouldn't blow it upward exposing her, she adjusted the helmet onto her head so it fit snugly. Dick had gotten the helmet for her after the first time she had ridden with him on his bike, she had loved it so much to his surprise that she thought about learning to ride and getting one of her own. He had laughed when she told him, saying it was harder than it looked and he would just give her rides instead. That was how they got to where they were now; him saying he would pick her up from places and only being able to follow through half the time.

"Ready?" He asked looking back at her over his shoulder, snapping her out of her flashback. After wrapping her arms around his waist Violet leaned close to his body, her head to his back and nodded. He couldn't see her but he felt her nodding against him.

He placed his helmet back onto his head and before she could prepare herself in anyway they were already racing forward taking the air out of her. The wind was a force of it's own pushing against her body like a tangible being, and the scenery around them went by like flashes. Nothing stood out or was visible for more than an instant. It was amazing, like she was flying. She closed her eyes relishing in the feeling, and embracing the butterflies in her stomach. It felt a bit like when your on a roller coaster and taking the first big fall down into what seems to be a never ending drop, and before you know it, it's over.

That was the moment the drop ended and she heard a beeping in front of her. It was coming from Dick's helmet, where she knew a tiny ear piece was always sitting. He tightened slightly before she heard his voice, "Yeah, what's up?"  His voice was clear but the voice on the other end was a muffled sound and after a moment she felt Dick let out a sigh. "I'm not alone," another pause. "Okay, I'll meet the team there."

The bike slowed for a moment, then after taking a sudden left accelerated even faster then they were going before. All the flashes of their surroundings turned into a endless blur of color.

"Where are we going Richard?" She had a hunch but asked anyway. Her helmet also had a built in headset that was constantly connected to his when together, except when he got incoming calls from his phone.

"The Gotham museum is being attacked. That's where we are headed, I'm sorry but I don't have time to drop you off anywhere."

"Who is it?" She held her breath.

"You'll be okay, you just need to stay by the bike." Violet could feel some of the panic started to creep into her skin. Soon she wouldn't be able to control it. She tried to breath slowing in and out hoping to gain control but it wasn't helping.
